Role: Business Development Executive

Reports to: BDR Team Leader

Location: Central Manchester Office

To generate leads for Pimberly in the form of web demos via outbound prospecting.

Key responsibilities

  • To generate leads in the form of web demos via outbound prospecting – e.g. call, email, LinkedIn.
  • To review and qualify target prospects in order to assess their suitability for Pimberly, based on key criteria such as number of products and complex product data.
  • To further profile leads in order to gain an in-depth understanding of how Pimberly could add value to each organisation therefore increasing success rate.
  • To ensure the contact booked to attend the web demo is of sufficient seniority to play a key role in the decision-making process.
  • To provide comprehensive and accurate information to our sales team to assist in the follow up of any sales leads generated.
  • To nurture longer-term opportunities to follow up at a later date.
  • To ensure relevant fields in our CRM database are correctly filled in.
  • To maintain and update the marketing database on an ongoing basis.
  • To conduct yourself at all times in a way which is in keeping with the Pimberly brand.
  • Devote time to personal development in order to improve your knowledge about the Pimberly platform, our market sectors and winning sales techniques.

Success measurements  

  • Number of web demos booked in line with objectives.
  • Number of decision-makers (DMs) spoken to in order to hit web demo targets.
  • Activity levels in order to hit DM targets.
  • Number of booked web demos that go ahead.
  • Number of web demos that convert to sales opportunities.
  • Quality of lead information passed to the sales team.
  • Quality of marketing database.

Relevant experience, knowledge & training required to perform the role

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s B2B outbound sales experience, within IT software
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills and ability to engage in a professional and confident manner at Director level
  • Passion for sales and desire to succeed
  • Previous experience with using a CRM application
  • Have a sound appreciation of customer needs and evidence of placing customer satisfaction as the highest priority
  • You will be target driven, an achiever, and have the ability to work on your own initiative with a desire to succeed
  • Demonstration of an understanding of Pimberly will be desirable, but more important will be an ability to learn quickly and be able to keep up with changes in technology
