The Challenge

Luxe Collective is a UK-based pre-loved luxury fashion retailer that specialises in second-hand handbags, footwear, and jewellery founded by brothers Ben and Joe Gallagher in 2018. The company buys these items from the public, authenticates them, refurbishes and cleans them, and then resells them through its website. Famously, Luxe Collective broke records to become the first retailer ever to sell a Hermès Birkin bag on TikTok Shop.  Adam Laughton, Head of Operations, is responsible for overseeing multiple departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. 

Before implementing Pimberly, Luxe Collective faced significant operational inefficiencies. Managing product listings on Shopify required duplicating existing listings and manually adjusting details such as condition, tags, and descriptions. This process was extremely time-consuming and prone to human error, leading to inconsistencies and inaccuracies in product descriptions.

The system is then used to conduct quality control checks, recording essential details such as the condition of the item, whether it includes dust bags or boxes, and any refurbishments that have been made. Photography is also integrated into Pimberly, allowing images to be uploaded and linked directly to the corresponding product data. Once all necessary steps are completed, the product is automatically published on the Luxe Collective website, eliminating the need for manual data entry and reducing errors. 

With Pimberly in place, Luxe Collective has seen significant improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and speed to market. The risk of human error has been greatly reduced, leading to more cohesive and accurate product listings. The automation of previously manual tasks has freed up time for employees to focus on strategic growth initiatives rather than repetitive administrative work. Additionally, the time it takes for a product to go from authentication to being listed for sale has decreased, allowing Luxe Collective to keep up with demand more effectively.
